The 10 Commandments can be super easy to explore
By Kyrsten Braun
Years ago when I was a Sunday school teacher, I came up with an equation to help my students memorize the 10 Commandments. When I realized how much easier this made it for my students, I decided to also share the technique with my pastor and was surprised to learn that even he found it helpful. I've since enhanced the equation and put these rules into the context of the New Testament with help from my parents, Jerry, an Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) pastor, and Carolyn, a teacher and church organist. Below is the resulting manuscript.
My goal is to get this published as a children's book and promote it to Christian book stores, as well as to churches for use in Sunday School classes. I am hoping to find a children's book illustrator who can design the pages, as well as an agent who can connect me with a "real" publisher who doesn't charge upfront fees. Please read my manuscript and let me know if you are able to assist in any way.
